George F. Tucker, 84, of Moultrie, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
No formal services are planned.
Born July 17, 1937, in Cherokee County, Alabama, he was the son of the late George Latharn Tucker and Irene Ely Tucker. Mr. Tucker was a United States Army Veteran. He was a retired self-employed mechanic and was a member of Kingwood Baptist Church. Mr. Tucker loved his family, enjoyed going to Biloxi, working in his yard, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timmy Vaughn, brother, Hugh Lewis Tucker; sisters, Stella Mae Morgan, Mary Ruth Daniels and Sybil Louise Barfield.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ansley Tucker of Moultrie; children, Wanda Cooper and husband Rusty of Moultrie, Ed Tucker and wife Caron of Hartsfield, Robert “R.T.” Tucker and wife Jan, Teresa Cook and husband Dennis, Ricky Vaughn all of Moultrie, Lisa Vaughn of Thomasville; grandchildren, Jonathan Cooper and friend Carmen, Justin Cooper and wife Amanda, Latharn Tucker and friend Brandy, Heather Cloud and husband Adrian, William Tomlinson and wife Allison; great-grandchildren, Austin Cooper, Rebecca Williams and husband Jonathan, Trent Cooper and wife Kirsten, Alexis Tucker, Jessica Cooper, Lalah Redfern, Haley Redfern, Kody Cloud, Kaylee Cloud and Madison Thomason; great-great-grandchildren, Georgia Williams.
