"Al" Albert Connell

Samuel Albert “Al” Connell, 62, of Sale City, Georgia, passed away on July 16, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 1, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with pastor Austin Deloach officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow at Lakeland City Cemetery in Lakeland, Georgia. 

Born September 9, 1959, in Homerville, GA, he was the son of the late Annette Thornton Bowling.  He was a maintenance technician at Albany Advocacy Resource Center in Albany, GA.  Known as a Nascar enthusiast and Florida Gator fan, Mr. Connell was a family man, loving every moment with his precious loved ones.  He will always be remembered as the life of the party.  He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Doerun, GA.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Connell was preceded in death by his son, Cameron Connell and grandparents, L. A. and Inez Thornton. 

Survivors include father, George Bowling of Doerun, GA; his daughter, Kaycee Leigh Connell Hall and husband Kelly of Dixie Union, GA; grandchildren, Allie Grace Gilliard and Harrison Taft; special relatives, Aunt Carolyn Corbitt of Waycross and Uncle Albert Thornton of Homerville; cousins, Nancy Feinberg and husband Phillip of Valdosta, Lynn Knox of Savannah, Laura Davis and husband John of Waycross.
