Aline Crawford Asbell Norman, 92, of Moultrie, died Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Cobblestone Health and Rehabilitation.
Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Monday, March 2, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Trey Eakins officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be Matthew Handley, David Handley, Chris Crawford, A.J. Handley, Mike Patterson and John Reynolds.
Born November 5, 1927 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late William Cossie Crawford and Annie Fleetwood Crawford. Mrs. Norman retired from Riverside Manufacturing Company as a seamstress and was employed with Walmart for 10 years. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Her family remembers how she was a hardworking lady and loved camping, cleaning, gardening, cooking and made sure you ate when you came over. Mrs. Norman was loved and cherished by many and they called her “Mema”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Etheridge “Snowball” Asbell; second husband, Aaron Norman; daughters, Lenora Asbell and Mary Alice Arrington; brothers, H.T. Crawford, W.C. Crawford, Carl Crawford, Elmo Crawford, Aubryn Crawford, K.D. Crawford, Kelso Crawford.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Chuck Arrington and April of Doerun, Renee Arrington of Moultrie; great-grandchildren, Tristan Arrington, Ty Arrington, Peyton Arrington and Emily Truelove; special grandson, K.T. Wilson; sisters-in-law, Jean Crawford, Jeanette Crawford, and Fern Crawford, and other family members.
