DOERUN, GA- Barbara Ann Young Howard, 82, of Doerun, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church with Reverend Charlie Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose of Sharon Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be Rodney Wheelhouse, Steven Livingston, Scott Young, Michael Young, Chuck Arrington, and Tim Ferullo.
Born September 14, 1942, in Worth County, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Young and Letha Mae Whittington Young. Mrs. Howard was truly the anchor of her family whom she loved dearly. She was sweet and kind beyond measure always thinking of others before herself. Mrs. Howard especially enjoyed going on shopping trips with her beloved daughters and eating out at her favorite places with them. She could be counted on to show up and support her grandchildren whenever and wherever they were playing sports. When she was unable to attend games for them, she would be there is spirit cheering them on. Mrs. Howard loved her Lord Jesus above all and was a faithful member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie L. Howard; son-in-law, Greg Ricks; and several of her siblings.
Survivors include her daughters, Lynn Ricks, Regina Casteel, and Lisa Banish; grandchildren, Ashley McLeod, Danielle Gailey and husband Jason, Kimberly Taylor and husband Tony, April Arrington and husband Chuck, Chasity Boatwright, Autumn Ferullo and husband Tim, Rodney Wheelhouse and wife Sam, Steven Livingston and wife Cristal, Chayton Harrell; great-grandchildren, Jayce Clark and husband Branson, Ashlyn McLeod, Jodi Gailey, Ty Arrington, Peyton Arrington, Emily Trulove, Shelby Norman, Lawson Boatwright, Aden Ferullo, Piper Ferullo, Kayli Wheelhouse, Savannah Wheelhouse, James Livingston, Emma Grace Livingston; great-great-grandchild, Cason Story; brothers, Rex Young, Jimmy Young and wife Gail; sister, Carolyn Edward and husband Emmett; along with a number of extended family members and friends.
