Barbara Jo Turner

ADAMSVILLE, TN. – Barbara Jo Turner, 74, of Adamsville, TN, and formerly of Moultrie, passed away September 24, 2023, at Harden County Medical Center.  

Funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Stanley Norman officiating.  Interment will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Mike Melton, Colby Melton, Chuck Hartsfield, Gordon Crosby, Kevin Tillman, and Rodney Tillman.

Born February 7, 1949, in Rome, GA, she was the daughter of Charles “CB” Turner and Nina Stephens Turner.  Ms. Barbara was a very special lady who loved attending church and singing gospel music.  She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Moultrie.  Ms. Barbara loved her family dearly.  She will always be remembered as a very humble, caring and kind person by everyone who met her. 

Survivors include her sisters, Debbie Estis and husband Johnny of New Iberia, LA, Vickie Tillman and husband Rodney of Scotts Hill, TN, and Katherine McGill of Shelbyville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles “CB” Turner and Nina Stephens Turner; sisters, Faye Wilson and Ann Stillwell; and brother, Steve Turner.
