Beatrice "Aunt Bea" Deal

DOERUN, GA – Beatrice “Aunt Bea” Murphy Deal, 91, of Doerun, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Bridge Creek Church Cemetery with the Elder Lamar Burkett officiating.   

The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 PM Tuesday at Bridge Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Born September 22, 1932, in Orangeburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Jimmy Murphy and Pauline Smith Murphy.  Mrs. Deal worked as a Spool Sorter at Coats & Clark for many years.  She was a true lady who loved her family dearly.  Mrs. Deal enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and growing flowers.  She was a faithful member of Bridge Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Edwin Deal; son, Charles Melvin Deal; brother, Gerry Murphy; and sister, Mary Frances Murphy.

Survivors include her son, Stevie Larry Deal; step-brother, Harold Murphy and wife Diane; a grandson, Christopher Raymond Jordan and wife Rachel; special niece, Dana Hughey and husband John Duron; dedicated caregiver, Andrew Duron; and a number of extended family members and friends.
