Bertha Louise Shelton Rigsby

          Bertha Louise Shelton Rigsby, 71, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at her home.

          A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, March 22, 2021 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Warren Gilpin officiating.  Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester, GA.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service.

          Born April 23, 1949 in Sylacauga, AL, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Shelton and Lola Watson Shelton.   Ms. Rigsby was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.   She loved her family, adored her grandchildren, and enjoyed gospel music.   She was an outgoing and loving person. 

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Oscar Sweat, Billy Joe Shelton, Betty Howard and Bud Sweat.

          Survivors includes her son, Mark Rigsby and wife Miley of Moultrie; grandchildren, Griffin Rigsby, Emily Rigsby and Mattie Jo Rigsby.
