Beth Johnson Knowles

MOULTRIE, GA. – Elizabeth Annette Knowles, 65, of Moultrie passed away October 12, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. 

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Mr. Don Crews officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

 The family will receive friends for 1 hour before the service.

 Born October 28, 1958, at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington, she was the daughter of the late James Aubrey Crews and Lena Grace Burgess Crews. Mrs. Knowles cherished her family with all her heart. She had a servant’s heart for others. Her compassion was shown daily in her career as a nurse. Mrs. Knowles was well known for her sense of humor, and she enjoyed taking the occasional chance in life. She was a member of Gordon Avenue Baptist Church in Adel and attended virtual services at Funston Baptist Church. Mrs. Knowles always left an impression on those around her and she will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Terry Knowles; sisters, Barbara Grace Condra and Lynda Sue Weldon.

She is survived by her children, Tori Crews Stone of Moultrie and Lori Mullis and husband Shane of Tifton; grandchildren, Leah Spencer and husband Sean, Holly Singletary, and Mila Stone; great-grandchild Aubrey Grace Singletary; brother, Don Crews and wife Vivian of Moultrie; several nieces and nephews; along with numerous extended family members and friends.

 Rather than floral tributes, the family requests that memorials be made in her honor to Colquitt Regional Hospice, 2516 5th Ave SE, Moultrie, GA 31776.

 Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
