Born August 11th, 1934, in San Diego, California. She was the daughter of Carl and Irene Embrey. Mrs. Cobb was a retired florist. She owned and operated Doerun Cottage florist for many years. Mrs. Betty was a people person and said one of the most rewarding feelings was seeing the smiles on her customers’ faces when they picked up their flowers. She put her heart and soul into all her floral arrangements whether they were for a wedding, funeral, prom, Valentine’s or any other special day a person may be celebrating. She was so generous that she would take centerpieces to some of the elderly friends in town on holidays for them to enjoy. Mrs. Betty loved her fur babies. They brought her so much company and comfort. One thing she had pride in was growing cherry tomatoes and sharing them with everyone who wanted some. She was always willing and ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She also enjoyed helping her husband Jack deliver the Moultrie Observer newspapers. She was of the Baptist faith and loved to listen to southern gospel music. Her favorite bible scripture was Psalm 91, and her favorite song was In the Garden.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband Jack Cobb.

Survivors include her children; daughter Karlene and husband Ed of Alpine, California; sons, Lloyd Peters and wife Pam of Papillion, NE, Ricky Peters and wife Brenda of Hampton, VA, and Lee Peters and wife Debbie of Tuscan, AZ.

10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, her fur babies Smoky, Patches and Gidget. Several special friends were Eric and Buffy Hall and she would always say and called them her adopted grandchildren Dillon and Cameron Hall, Greg and Kim Willis, Parker Kimbrell and Judy Howell, several nieces and nephews.
