Bobby Tillman

WAYCROSS, GA – Bobby Tillman, 84, of Waycross, formerly of Moultrie, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Andy Croft officiating.

Born June 15, 1940, in Brooks County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Z.H. Tillman and Clyde Harris Tillman. Mr. Bobby retired from JCI General Contractors as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Indian Mound Baptist Church in Millwood, Georgia. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved his family, enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid fisherman. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Kent Tillman; brother, Timmy Tillman.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Ammons Tillman; daughter, Tammy Tillman Avery and husband Neil; stepchildren, McKinzie Ammons and wife Danielle, Fred Ammons and wife Sarah; grand-son, Victor Tillman Avery; step-grandchildren, Kinzie Ammons, Charlee Ammons, Henry Ammons, Matthew Spellman; siblings, Yvonne Jordan, Earnestine Hunnewell and husband Eddie, Frank Tillman and wife Donna, Tommy Tillman and wife Cheri; several other extended family members and friends.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
