Brenda Crawford Edwards

HARTSFIELD, GA – Brenda Crawford Edwards, 83, of Hartsfield, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, March 3, 2025, in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Reverend John Myrick officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 PM Monday at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

Casketbearers will be Johnny McCook, Brandon McCook, Josh Moss, and Xykhare Hayes. 

Born May 21, 1941, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Willie Aubryn Crawford, Sr. and Yuba Mae Johnson. Mrs. Brenda retired from Colquitt County Correctional Institute as a correctional officer and was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church. She was a hardworking, fun loving, woman who enjoyed spending time in her yard and growing flowers. Mrs. Brenda was affectionately known as “Red” by all who loved her. She loved the Lord, and her family dearly, and will be missed by all. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry A. Edwards; daughter, Mary M. Mash; siblings, Joyce Patricia Crawford, W.A. Crawford, Jr. 

Survivors include her children, Darlene Moss, Del Keene, Sr. and wife Robin; son-in-law, Billy Mash; sister-in-law, Linda Crawford; grandchildren, Jamie Robinson and husband Mark, Brandi A. Moss, Del Keene, Jr. and wife Kelly, Robert “Josh” Moss, Kyndall Mash, Kadi Mash; great-grandchildren, Xykhare Hayes, Riley Keene, Levi Robinson, Sammy Robinson, Jesiah Moss; nieces and nephews, Sabrina McCook and husband Johnny, W.A. Crawford, III, Lee Ann Jarvis; several much loved great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. 

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
