Carey Broughton Williams, Jr., 83, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Legacy Village at Park Regency. Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Grantham officiating. Entombment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Casketbearers will be Bo Williams, Jim Agee and Noah Agee. Born October 19, 1936 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Carey Broughton Williams, Sr. and Mary Kelly Williams. Mr. Williams was an Army National Guard Veteran and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was the former President of C&S Bank and SOWGA Bank where he retired in 2000 with 41 years of total banking service. His family remembers how he loved playing golf, enjoyed his community and making people laugh. Mr. Williams was an avid Auburn football fan and was a champion for the YMCA. Survivors include his wife, Alma Grubbs Williams of Moultrie; children, Bo Williams of Moultrie, Cathy Agee and husband Jim of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren, Noah Agee, Kate Agee; sister, Charlotte Overstreet and husband Wynton of Hendersonville, TN; brother, Ray Williams and wife Eleanor of Cumming, GA.
