THE SERVICE WILL BEGIN AT 2:00 PM AND WILL CONCLUDE IN THE CHAPEL.
Carlton Stephen “Pete” Ingram, 92, of Moultrie, passed away on Wednesday March 31, 2021 at Legacy Village at Park Regency.
Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 10, 2021, Pinecrest Memorial Gardens visitation following. Reverend Steve Grantham and special friend Joe Shown will officiate.
Born April 13, 1928 in Berlin, GA, Pete was the son of the late James Frank Ingram and Rachie Murphy Ingram. Mr. Ingram was a United States Army Veteran of the 82nd Airborne stationed in Japan. Pete was part owner of Scruggs Concrete Company upon retiring his professional career in the concrete and building material industry in 1995 spanning over three decades. He was known to his loyal customers as “Mr. Pete”. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed being a member of First Methodist Church of Moultrie. He was a Mason and a Shriner of the Hasan Temple where he was a member of the Provost Guard. He was also long-time member of the VFW where he called Bingo for years.
In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Rollins Ingram; sisters Myrtle Goldman, Ruby Laird, Dorothy Smythers; brothers Wilbon Ingram and Bill Ingram.
Survivors include his sisters Venada Ingram Peeples of Lake Wales, FL, Betty Ingram Scott of Summerfield, FL; daughters, Sheila Ingram Colvin and the late John Colvin of Athens, GA, Elizabeth Ingram Webb and husband David Webb of Williston, SC.; son, Russell Ingram and wife Robie Peacock Ingram of Valdosta, GA; grandchildren Kirby Ingram Biddle and husband Taylor, Carlton Wade Ingram, Mary Catherine Colvin Jones and husband Brandon, Russell Webb; great-grandchildren, Taten Biddle, Rollins Biddle and Elliott Jones; and a host of Rollins relatives from Jefferson, SC area that truly loved “Uncle Pete”.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Methodist Church, P.O. Box 757, Moultrie, GA 31776 or Georgia Sheriffs Boys Ranch, 5671 Boys Ranch Road, Hahira, GA 31632.
