Carolyn Griffin McAlpin

MOULTRIE, GA – Carolyn Griffin McAlpin, 84, of Moultrie, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022, at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with the Reverend Murray Barfield officiating. 

Casketbearers will be Roy Pate, II, Matt Hilton, Aaben Hilton, and Justin Barfield.  Honorary casketbearers will be Gunner Pate, River Pate, and Ethan Barfield.

Born August 27, 1938, in Brooks County Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Mac Griffin and Stella Mae Dean Griffin.  Mrs. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family.  She was a member and song leader at the former New Life Tabernacle Church.  Mrs. Carolyn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert McAlpin; son, Randy Albert McAlpin; siblings, Viola McAlpin, Ruby Welch, Lillie Mae McAlpin, Grace Crosby, Lorene Cannon, Reverend J.D. Griffin, L.C. Griffin, and Gene Griffin; son-in-law, Roger Hilton.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Hilton, Jan Barfield and husband Murray all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Roy Pate, II and wife Heather, Matt Hilton and wife Jessica, Aaben Hilton, Justin Barfield and wife Kaitlin; great-grandchildren, Addison Pate, Gunner Pate, River Pate, Ethan Barfield, and Paxton Jordan.
