Cecil George Hancock, 89, of Moultrie, died Thursday, February 6, 2020 at his home.
Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Monday, February 10, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Alvin Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be Jerry Castleberry, Caroll Castleberry, Jason Wilkes, Ryan Sparkman, Eddie Stephan, Ronald Ford and Jonathan Castleberry.
Born July 16, 1930 in Colquitt County, he was the son of the late Frank M. Hancock and Bessie Barnes Hancock. Mr. Hancock was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of United Methodist Church of Norman Park. He retired from the University of Georgia as an extension service supervisor of the SOWEGA Association of the Dairy Herd Improvement Program.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sisters, Carrie Ford, Agnes Barfield and Lloyd Hancock
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Ann Castleberry Hancock of Moultrie; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Debbie Freed of Albany, Donna Spurlock, Jerry Castleberry both of Moultrie, Caroll Castleberry and wife Paula of Mayo FL, Barbara Moody, Nell Castleberry both of Houston TX; sister, Sybil Bridges of St. Cloud FL; several special nieces and nephews and other family members.
