Chad Griner

MOULTRIE, GA- Lewis Chadwick “Chad” Griner, 42, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday. July 26, 2023, at Phoebe Worth Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 31, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Nick Dawson officiating.   Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

Casketbearers will be Will Rowley, AJ Roberson, Camden Taylor, Jeff Miller, Chris Lane and Chase Lamb.  Honorary casketbearers will be Wink Grubbs, Rusty Griner, Dale Yarbrough, Harrell Rackley, Jake Rackley, Clint Bryant, Shawn Bostick, John Sanders and Buddy Lee. 

Born May 8, 1981, in Albany, Georgia, he was the son of Sheila Rackley Griner of Moultrie and the late James Lewis Griner.  Chad was the Postmaster at the Sylvester Post Office and was of the Baptist faith.   He was a faithful, loving, husband, father, and brother, who adored his family.  Chad loved picking (loving) on his “Krissie”. He was a proud mama’s boy and was best friends with his sister.  Chad loved to go hunting, fishing and golfing and was able to fix anything he wanted to.  His son, Jimmy, was his shadow and wanted to be just like his dad.  Chad’s sense of humor and kindness towards other will always be remembered by anyone who ever met him. 

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Kristin Taylor Griner of Moultrie; children, Morgan Caroline Griner, Caitlin Olivia Griner, James Watson Griner; sister, Bonnie Chastain and Nick; mother and father-in-law, Sharon and Bob Roberson; in-laws, Will and Sarah Rowley (and children), AJ and Mandy Roberson (and children), Zeb Taylor, Caleb Taylor; nephew and niece, Cam Taylor, Bekah Taylor; numerous other extended family members and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Association and or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
