Charlene Willis Lawhorne

Hallie Charlene Willis Lawhorn, 84, of Pelham, passed away at her residence on Friday, October 21, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ron Shiver officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born October 20, 1938, in Grady County, Georgia, Charlene was the daughter of the late William B. Willis and Hallie Viola Burt Willis.  She was a bookkeeper at the Marine Corps Logistics Base of Albany.  Spending time with her family was a delight, and she was known for her quick-witted sense of humor. Completing crossword puzzles with her red pen was a favorite pastime.  She enjoyed growing flowers that made pretty blooms and wanted her yards and gardens to look nice. She attended Funston Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil L. Lawhorn and siblings, Alvin Willis, Ray Willis, Louise Durrent, Annette Garrett, Joan Lodge, Myrlene Thompson, and Odelle Lodge.

Survivors include her children, Angela Lawhorne of Fernandina Beach, FL, Tony Lawhorne and wife Susan of Kingsland, Steven Lawhorne and wife Lori of Moultrie; grandchildren, Micah Lawhorne and wife Lily, Jacob Lawhorne, Josh Lawhorne, and Justin Estes.
