Charles Linton Bryant

       Charles Linton Bryant, 78, of Moultrie, died Friday, January 31, 2020 at Cobblestone Health and Rehabilitation Center.
       Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 3, 2020 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Norman officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
       Casketbearers will be Richard Allegood, Roger Clayton, Sawyer Lynch, Simon Lynch, Randy Bryant, Dylan Gay and Ottis Bryant, Jr.
       Born July 31, 1941 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late George Washington Bryant and Addie Bell Edwards Bryant. He was a farmer and retired from Southern States, Inc. with twenty-nine years of service. Mr. Bryant was a faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, where he was a former greeter and usher. He loved farming and was an avid fisherman. He dearly loved his wife, children and grandchildren, as well as his nieces and nephews. He could often be found at the Bay Store talking with all the farmers.
       He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lois Davidson, Margaret Murphy and Penny Allegood; and two brothers, Wallace Bryant and Ottis Bryant.
       Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Eleanor Faye Dewberry Bryant of Moultrie; four children, Barry Bryant and Tammy of Lake Park, Ga., Belinda Lynch and Jeff of Barney, Melanie Merritt and Ronnie of Valdosta and Addie Gay and husband Eddie of Norman Park; seven grandchildren, Sawyer Lynch, Simon Lynch, Elie Merritt, Joiner Merritt, Dylan Gay, Randy Bryant and wife Lisa and Holly Griffin; four great-grandchildren, Brailey Weaver, Brandon Weaver, Reed Bryant and Maddie Griffin; and his beloved dog, Tobie.
       The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
