Charles David Searcy

March 18, 1938 — February 8, 2020

     Charles David Searcy, 81, of Norman Park, died Saturday, February 8, 2020 at his home.
     Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Monday, February 10, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Minister Jessy McKeirnan officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
     The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
     Born March 18, 1938 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Obie Searcy and Allie Smith Searcy. He retired from the U.S. Navy with twenty years of service, serving during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was also a retired electrician with Wells Aluminum. Mr. Searcy was of the Baptist faith. He was easy going, loved life and enjoyed being outdoors.
     He was preceded in death by his second wife, June Matthews Searcy; his son, Charles D. Searcy, Jr.; one step-daughter, Tammy Davis Madden; eleven brothers and two sisters.
     Survivors include his wife, Robbie Jean Griffin Searcy of Norman Park; two step-sons, Jessy McKeirnan of Norman Park and Adam Greenwalt of Jamestown, N.Y.; one step-daughter, Sherry A. Petrilla of Ohio; two grandchildren, Noah Searcy and Christopher Searcy.
