BOGART, GA- Clyde Harrell, 81, of Bogart, and formerly of Moultrie, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospice House in Watkinsville. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM Sunday at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Born December 2, 1940, in Colquitt County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Henry Porter Harrell and Flora Mae Rooks Harrell. Mr. Harrell was a true patriot who served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Army before retiring as a Master Sergeant. During his service, he fought in the Vietnam War where he received numerous awards including a Purple Heart. Mr. Harrell had many hobbies during his younger years but his greatest joy in life was his family. He absolutely adored his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren beyond all things. Mr. Harrell was a member of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy Sue Harrell; his son, Clyde Brett Harrell; and grandson, Brandon Peterson. Survivors include his daughter, Alison Partridge and husband Timothy of Bogart; grandchildren, Alexis Harrell, Lance Harrell, Ashley Peterson and husband Ken McDonald, Preston Peterson, Aaron Harrell, and Megan Harrell; great-grandchildren, Hallie Grace Peterson, Braxton Clyde Peterson and Jeremiah Brandon McDonald.
