Cornelia Dobbs Cook

FUNSTON, GA – Cornelia Dobbs Cook, 82, of Funston, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 8, 2024, in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Ron Shiver officiating. 

Born December 27, 1941, in Colquitt County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Elizabeth Parks Dobbs and Charlie Victor Dobbs. Mrs. Cornelia was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her family dearly. After raising her children, she worked for many years selling home interiors products. She enjoyed meeting people and helping them. Mrs. Cornelia worked tirelessly all her life with the church teaching children’s classes and was always involved in VBS. She was a loving witness of God’s love to all the people she met throughout her lifetime. Mrs. Cornelia was a former member of Memorial Baptist Church for many years and when the road came through and took their home, the Lord led them to Funston Baptist Church where she remained a member until her passing. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jr. Dobbs, Ed Dobbs, Dwane Dobbs; sister, Cathalene Taylor; sister-in-law, Emma Lou Dobbs; brothers-in-law, Gerald Taylor, Hoyt Pope.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, William Harold Cook; children, Todd Cook and wife Rhonda, Penny Hobby and husband Chris; brother Larry Dobbs and wife Melody; sister, Carolyn Pope; sister-in-law, Florence Dobbs; several other extended family members and friends.
