Curtis Donald Harper, 87, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 15, 2021 at Midway Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Jackson officiating assisted by David Harper. Interment will follow in Midway Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Midway Church.
Casketbearers will be Nick Harper, Austin Thaggard, Garrett Floyd, Brady Mercer, Charles Mercer, Dalton Thaggard and Russ Harper.
Born November 25, 1933 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Tillman Harper and Opal Kearce Harper. Mr. Harper retired from the United States Air Force and later retired from Lasseter Tractor Company. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves and was a proud season ticket holder to the Colquitt County Packers football games. Mr. Harper was extremely faithful to his wife, family, and his Midway Freewill Baptist Church family. He enjoyed helping at Weeks Auction Group, going fishing, restoring furniture, walking every morning, and going to Hardee’s and McDonalds.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Christine Weaver Harper; brothers, Vernon Harper and Charles Harper.
Survivors includes his sons, Steven Curtis Harper and wife Jody of Niceville FL, Craig Harper and wife Laurie of Moultrie; grandchildren, Joshua Harper and wife Joey, Amber Floyd and husband Garrett, Christy Thaggard and husband Austin, Nick Harper; great-grandchildren, Clara Bradley, Mattie Bradley, Gray Harper and Hayden Floyd.
