David Eldon Glass

VALDOSTA, GA- David Eldon Glass, 74, of Valdosta, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at South Georgia Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 3, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Pastor Jeff Ford officiating.  The family will receive friends after the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.  Inurnment will be held at 3:30 PM Friday, May 3, 2024, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.   

Born March 3, 1950, in Valdosta, Georgia, he was the son of the late Ray Eldon Glass and Christine Lizzie Wiggins Glass.  Mr. David was a United States Army Veteran.   He retired from Aero Performance in Lake City as an aircraft parts salesman and attended Crossroads Baptist Church.   He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved his family dearly.   Mr. David enjoyed being outdoors fishing, camping, and planting a vegetable garden.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ann O’Hearn.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Ann Glass of Valdosta; children, Amanda Rae Glass-Bortle and husband Michael of Ray City, GA, Tina Rodriguez and husband Daniel of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Steven Wilson, Stacey Wilson, Austin David Anderson, Abbey Rodriguez, Jenna Rae Glass-Bortle, William David Bortle; siblings, Mary Ellen Boyce and Roy H. Glass; several other extended family members and friends.
