ORANGE PARK, FL – David Kemp, 84, of Orange Park, FL, and formerly of Worth County, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester with the Rev. Rob Gray officiating. The family will greet friends after the service at the cemetery. Born April 28, 1938, in Worth County, GA, he was the son of the late William Henry Kemp and Lola Barfield Kemp. Mr. Kemp had lived in Orange Park for the past 49 years after moving there from Worth County. He was a skilled tradesman who worked as a Pipefitter at the Naval Air Station Jacksonville for many years. Mr. Kemp will be remembered as a kind and caring man who cherished his family above all else. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Baxley Kemp; sisters, preceded in death Elizabeth Kemp Walters (Bill) and Dorothy Kemp Williford (Earl). Survivors include his daughters, Karen Beasley of Doerun and Carole Lampke (Michael) of Rincon, GA; grandchildren, Jessie Howard Beasley, III (Kaitlyn) of Doerun, Jacqueline Lampke and Kimberly Lampke, both of Rincon; brother, Bud Kemp (Betty) of Sylvester; sister, Eloise Whittington (James) of Jackson, GA; sister-in-law, Mary Dickerson (Jimmy) of Doerun; and a number of extended family members and friends.
