David Russell

David Russell, 64, of Moultrie, passed away November 25, 2022, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 28, 2022, at Solid Rock Church of Moultrie with the Reverend Winston Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be family and friends.

Born April 11, 1958, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Clifton Leo Russell and Nadine Tompkins Russell. Mr. Russell was the owner of Russell Landscaping and attended Solid Rock Church.  He loved his family and was devoted to them, and he had a servant heart for others.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved the outdoors and watching plants grow.  He was a true Packer Backer and loved to watch them play.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Russell Stripling, and Maxie Russell.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Barnard Russell; children, Jacob Russell of Moultrie, Russell Barton and Mickey of Moultrie, Sam Barton and Amanda of Valdosta and Judy Coleman of Moultrie; grandchildren, Ryleigh, Frank, Abigail, Brady, Jaxon; siblings, Faye Griner and Donnie of Moultrie; many extended family members and friends.
