Debra Lynn Lewis Steiss

HINESVILLE, GA – Debra Lynn Lewis Steiss, 70, of Hinesville, formerly of Moultrie, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.

The family will receive family and friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, April 28, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born February 9, 1955, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John Byron Lewis, Jr. and Lois Virginia Bradshaw Lewis. Mrs. Debra was a retired HR Specialist for the Federal Government. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved her family especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Debra enjoyed cooking, being outdoors, going snow skiing, camping and playing softball. Some of her good memories were traveling around Europe enjoying the sites and foods.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, John Bryon “Johnny” Lewis III, Sharon Rose Lewis Reardon.

Survivors include her husband of 39 ½ years, Michael Steiss; children, Robert Shane Tindle, Shala Lynn Pendleton and husband William; grandchildren, Kodi L. McRay, Joshua S. Tindle and wife Jenna, Mika C. Palmer and husband Christion, Jordan F. Tindle, Gabrielle M. Pendleton, Janessa C. Pendleton, Hannah Tindle, Jacob Tindle; sisters, Sandy Mann, Margie Chancellor; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Tindle, Raina McRay, Mila Brooks, Caiiro Brooks, Daniel Tindle, Killian McRay; several other extended family members and friends.
