Deiva Whitston Money, formerly of Moultrie, Ga, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, in hospice care at Capitol Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee. Mrs. Money was 82.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 25, 2021, in Moultrie’s Westview Cemetery with her son, Dr. Glen Money officiating.
Born January 15, 1939, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Cleveland Whitston and Mary Boatwright Whitston. She was raised in the Riverside community by her mother and beloved aunt, Eulala Boatwright. She was married for thirty-six years to her love, the Reverend Howard Money who died in 1996. Deiva was a gifted musician who played piano and organ in churches most all her life. She loved Jesus and people, and her life reflected that. She enjoyed helping people make their lives and burdens easier, not judging, but always encouraging. Deiva loved reading and inspired others to do the same. Her hobbies included gardening, quilting and traveling with her sons’ families. She retired from the Colquitt County School System, serving as Media Specialist at C.A. Gray Middle School for over two decades.
Survivors include her children, Glen Money and wife Lisa of Murfreesboro, TN, Mike Money of Tallahassee, FL, Keith Money and wife Kristie of Callahan, FL; grandchildren, Thad Money and wife Brittany, Jordan Money and wife Anna, Redden Money, Jewell Money, Elise Money, Spencer Money and wife Cady, Adrienne Money; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, and Abigail Money.
