MOULTRIE, GA- Lt. Cmdr. Dennis John Fleischmann (U.S.N. Ret.), 67, of Moultrie, died Friday, November 20, 2020 at Willson Hospice House in Albany. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Tucker officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Born June 23, 1953 in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of Marion Gallucci Fleischmann of Prospect Park, Pa. and the late Charles Frederick Fleischmann. Lt. Cmdr. Fleischmann was retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service. Following his Naval career, he worked nineteen years at Newport News Ship Building as a Tiger Team Submarine Repair support member. He enjoyed going to the gym, lifting weights and was an enthusiastic fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. He was a member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. Faith and family were top Dennis’ top priorities. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Vicky Lynn Davis Fleischmann of Moultrie; two sons, John Tyler Fleischmann and wife Elizabeth Jackson-Fleischmann of Baltimore, Md., and Stephen Thomas Fleischmann and wife Christy of Doerun; three grandchildren, Bentley, Carlee and Winston Fleischmann; four sisters, Donna Long of Philadelphia, Pa., Dianna Nesico of Pasadena, Md., Lisa Leake of Prospect Park, Pa. and Betsy Doyle of Glenolden, Pa.; two brothers, Thomas Fleischmann of Miami, Fl. and Dutch Fleischmann of Boston, MA.
