Donald H. Hall

MOULTRIE, GA.- Donald H. Hall, 86, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Legacy Village.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Elder Peter Benford officiating.  A private interment will be in Rose of Sharon Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at the family residence.

Born April 28, 1937, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Earl H. Hall and Elizabeth Jones Hall.  Mr. Hall was a Veteran having honorably served his country in the US. Army.  He was a faithful employee of the Moultrie Housing Authority for 35 years.  After retiring, Mr. Hall spent his time fishing when he was not cattle farming.  He was an avid Packer football fan, that enjoyed attending games with his daughter, Leigh.  Mr. Hall had many joys in life, but his greatest love was his family.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Gwen Maples, Jeanette Hall Shiflett, Joanne Hall, Beth Hall Williams and Elaine Hall Holloway; and a brother, Mickey Hall. 

Survivors include his beloved wife, Joyce Ann Bryan Hall; his daughters, Leigh Hall-Weakland and husband, Joseph R. Weakland, III, of Moultrie, and Vicki Hall Floyd of Savannah; grandchildren, Raleigh Hall Garlick and husband Evan, Jillian Leigh Weakland, Evan Floyd, Collin Floyd, and Carson Floyd; great-grandchild, Lynleigh Grace Garlick; nieces, Karla Douglas, Kathy Gibbs; and nephews, Bill Sheffield, Tim Hall. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Colquitt County Humane Society or the Colquitt County Food Bank.
