Doretha Boyd Langston

MOULTRIE, GA – Doretha Boyd Langston, 88, of Moultrie, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 21, 2024, at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Charlie Tucker officiating. 

The family will receive friends after the service in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

Born October 27, 1935 in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Remer Boyd and Nancy Jane Johnson Boyd. Mrs. Doretha was a homemaker and a member of China Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. Mrs. Doretha enjoyed making crafts, growing flowers, and raising birds. She will always be remembered for the delicious meals that she would make. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Eugene Langston; siblings, Chester Boyd, CR Boyd, Woodrow Boyd, Martha Jane Shelly, Odessa Hiers, and Louise Tucker. 

Survivors include her children, Regina Jackson and husband Lynn of Cuthbert, Randall Langston and wife Tammy of Berlin, Glen Langston and wife Melanie of Valdosta; grandchildren, Jason Jackson and wife Caitlyn, Chad Langston, Kayce Langston, Caroline Langston, Kathryn Langston; several great-grandchildren; sister, Novella Boyd; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
