Duane Allen Knauff, 63, of Moultrie died Monday, May 23, 2022, at his home.
Born May 9, 1959, in Bellefonte, PA, he was the son of Julia Corman Dickinson of Moultrie, GA and Thomas Lynn Knauff of State College, PA.
Duane was an avid aviator who served in the U.S. Air Force and held his commercial pilot’s license with a glider instructor certification. He was retired from Maule Aircraft where he was an inspector.
Duane loved hunting, fishing, attending music festivals, skydiving, fly-ins, cooking on the BBQ, and most especially watching various Eagle Cams.
In addition to his parents, Duane is survived by his stepmother, Doris Grove; sisters, Susan Knauff Norman; Amy Knauff Richter and husband Sonny; Melinda Knauff Wright and husband David; Heidi Dickinson Cowan and husband Daniel; Karen Dickinson Hiers and husband Brendan; and Lisa Knauff Shirk; brothers, Steven Knauff and Dana Nellums; Michael Dickinson and wife Michelle; and Ben Elohim. He is also survived by three stepbrothers, six stepsisters; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; an aunt and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harold Dickinson Sr., his grandparents, a stepsister, a stepbrother, and an aunt.
There will be a private family memorial at a date to be determined.
