Moultrie, GA – Earnestine Vivian Flowers Carter, 90, of Moultrie, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. No formal services are planned at this time. Born December 7, 1931, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Flowers and Lucille Frazier Flowers. Mrs. Carter was a hardworking woman who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, cooking, and watching TV. Mrs. Carter was deeply loved by her family, especially her daughter Kay, and will be greatly missed by all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Zeblon Vance Carter, Jr; daughter Melissa Marcell Scott and her husband Ricky Scott; son-in-law Ruis Bates; grandson Zeblon Richard Scott; siblings Frank Flowers, Gail Sloan and her husband Grady Sloan. Survivors include her daughter, Ila Kay Carter Bates; granddaughter-in-law, Alicia Scott; great granddaughter, Kalee Brooke Scott; great-great grandson, Gabriel Reign Bass; special niece, Cindy Harvin and husband Art; sister, Harriet Sealy; special friend, Kim Shiver of Valdosta; special family members, Cathy Thompson and husband Terry; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Colquitt Regional Hospice for the wonderful care provided to Mrs. Carter.
