Edgar Frank Davis

Edgar Frank Davis, 96, of Moultrie, died Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Pruitt-Health Moultrie.

          Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, graveside rites will be held Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Hartsfield Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Faucett officiating.

          Born March 3, 1924 in Dooly County, he was the son of the late Rev. Albert Camac Davis and Lee Berta Thompson Davis.  He was a member of Hartsfield Baptist Church and was a United States World War II Army Veteran.  His family fondly remembers his love and appreciation for nature and how he could see beauty in all of God’s creation. 

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph Davis, Oliver Davis, E.J. Davis and Mathis Davis; sisters, Clara Brown, Rosa Lee Johnston, Thelma Connell, Olive Tillman and Hazel Lovell.

          Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Louise Ethridge Davis; children, Mary Webb and husband Terry of Hartsfield, GA, Lynwood Dalton and wife Mary of Gulf Breeze, FL, Kay Murphy and husband Mark of Moultrie, GA; grandchildren, Josh Webb, Lacey Webb, Candi Garner and husband Nick, Adam Dalton and wife Amanda, Kimberly Weaver and husband Jason, Lance Murphy and wife Shana; great-grandchildren, Brock Weaver, Dalton Garner, Dailey Garner, Gabriel Garner, Macey Green, Jasper Green, Miles Murphy and Mims Murphy.  

          In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hartsfield Baptist Church or the Temple Baptist Church.
