Ethel Jones Norman

Ethel Jones Norman, 90, of Crescent City, FL, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at her home.  Mrs. Norman was a former resident of Norman Park, GA.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Voyles officiating.  Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Moultrie, GA.  The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cobb Funeral Chapel Thursday evening.

Casketbearers include Alan Allegood, Bud Norman, Jake Fountain, Drew Norman, T. J. Norman, and Lance Norman.  Honorary casketbearers include Matthew Norman, Corey Norman, Curtis Allegood, Jerome Clark, Brian Turner, and Brandon Norman.

Born February 8, 1933, in Omega, GA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Jones and Faye Golden Jones.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her loving family, from cooking for family gatherings, shopping, sipping coffee with loved ones, and attending good gospel sings. Fishing and gardening were two of her favorite pastimes.  Mrs. Norman was of the Primitive Baptist faith.  She loved big and was loved by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lamar Norman; daughters, Susan Norman and Janice Norman Clark; sons, Kenneth Norman and Louie Norman; sister, Mary Francis Crawford; brother, James Jones; son-in-law, David Allegood; canine friends, Scooter and Roxy; and her feline friend, Buddy.

Survivors include her children, Joyce Allegood of Moultrie, Karen Greene and husband Russell of Tifton, Kathy Boyd and husband William of Georgetown, FL, Terry Norman and wife Alesia of Norman Park, Ted Norman and wife Eunice of Moultrie, Timothy Norman of Tifton, and David Norman and wife Zena of Tifton; twenty grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
