MOULTRIE, GA – Frances Pate “Tinker” Watson, 95, of Hartsfield, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Senior Care and Rehabilitation.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 6, 2025, in Westview Cemetery with Reverend Brad Bowen officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service in Westview Cemetery.
Born September 24, 1929, in Hartsfield, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late George Homer Pate and Mary Elizabeth Pate. Mrs. Frances was the owner of Watson Motor Freight. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. Mrs. Watson was a good cook and cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandson Jessie and great-grandson Noah. She was known for her quick wit and sense of humor which brought smiles and laughter to everyone around her. Mrs. Watson was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Anne Fambro and husband Ray Fambro; son, Chris Watson; and her siblings.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Watson; daughter, Sandra Apperson and husband Steve; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; a special niece and caregiver, Margie Haney; along with other extended family members and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Moultrie-Colquitt County Humane Society, PO Box 2915, Moultrie, GA 31776.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
