Gail Carlton Tucker

MOULTRIE, GA – Gail Carlton Tucker, 85, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 27, 2023, at Midway Freewill Baptist Church with the Reverend Randy Jackson officiating.   Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Midway Freewill Baptist Church.

Born September 25, 1938, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Marcus Carlton and Gladys Causey Carlton.   Mrs. Gail was a retired mobile librarian for the Moultrie-Colquitt County Library.  She touched numerous children’s lives by driving around Colquitt County in the “Bookmobile”.   Kids were always excited to see her coming.   Mrs. Gail was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her loved ones.  She was a vital part to Mr. Billy on the farm and in the pecan groves.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her beloved husband, Billy Tucker; sister, Ramona Hatch; brother, David Carlton.

Survivors include her children, Marcia G. Campbell. William Carlton Tucker and wife Dana; grandchildren, Amy D. Sheley and husband Josh, Brittney Laverty and husband Jordan, Heather Graczyk and husband Danny; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Rhett, Emory, Harper, Ivy, Quinn, Zoey, and Daniel; several extended family members and friends.
