Geneva Lou Catherine Self Etheredge

DOERUN, GA- Geneva Lou Catherine Self Etheredge, 90, of Doerun, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Legacy Village at Park Regency.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend David Williams, Reverend Jerry Etheredge, and the Reverend Brian Norton officiating.   Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

Casketbearers will be Austin Bass, Jim Brown, Tal Etheredge, Mike Lewis, Ridge Welch, and Ched McClure.  Honorary casketbearers will be Jerry Coker, Hal Mullis, Raymond Harrell, Steve Ritter, Chester Gunn, Jerry Childree, and Harold Howell.

Born April 11, 1932, in Worth County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late David Marion Self and Stella Mae Driggers Self.  Mrs. Etheredge was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church.  She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Etheredge enjoyed living the farm life, working in her flowers, enjoyed cooking, and making beautiful quilts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene McCoy Etheredge; siblings, Reba Harrell and Everett Self.

Survivors include her children, Danny Ray Etheredge and wife Kathy of Doerun, Vicki Etheredge Bass and husband John of Hartsfield; grandchildren, Dana Lewis and Mike, Tal Etheredge, Katie Hill, Melissa Brown and Jim, Melanie McClure and Ched, Austin Bass and Jessi; great-grandchildren, Britney Welch, Ridge Welch, Sally Lewis, Tyler Lewis, Coy Etheredge, Kade Hill, Kason Hill, Everlee Anne Hill, Matthew Brown, Wil McClure and J.T. McClure; sister, Lavonia McDonald of Albany; brother-in-law, James Harrell.

The family would like to thank all her loving caretakers at Legacy Village at Park Regency.
