Georgia Pearl Bledsoe Simmons, 85, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Born July 25, 1936, in Dodge County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Moten Bledsoe and Mary Ethel Harrell Bledsoe. Mrs. Simmons retired from South-Western in Thomasville as a registered nurse and was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family especially her grand and great grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and would always cook for them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Buford Simmons; brothers and sisters, Haskel Corbet Bledsoe, James Haywood Bledsoe, Leslie Warren Bledsoe, James Moten Bledsoe, Jr., Paul Lamar Bledsoe, Martha Bledsoe Wauters, Katie Sue Bledsoe Campbell and Bessie Lou Bledsoe Moore.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Georgette Jones and husband Donnie of Moultrie; grandchildren, Morgan Lynn Jones, April Jones Goodson and husband Andrew; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Pearl Goodson, Waylon Jackson Goodson; special niece, Connie Hart of Moultrie.
