Grady Nelson Bennett, Jr.

Grady Nelson Bennett, Jr., 73, of Pavo, GA, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.  

Graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Berlin, GA at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 26, 2023, with Rev. Julian Griner officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the graveside.

Born January 16, 1950, in Brooks County, GA, he was the son of the late Grady Nelson Bennett, Sr. and Dorothy Elizabeth Hiers Bennett.  He was a US Army Veteran who proudly served our country.  Mr. Bennett was an avid fisherman who loved to keep his family in stitches with one joke and story after another.  He was known as the life of the party and enjoyed every moment of family gatherings.  He loved working on the farm.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife Brenda LaJoyce Taylor Bennett of Pavo; children, Daemon Keith Bennett and wife Amy of Funston, Julie Heather Bengston and husband Adam of Slidell, LA; grandchildren, Kathryn Kaely Bennett, Harper Bengston, Parker Bengston; siblings, Sandra Edgeworth of Nashville, GA, Glynn Bennett and wife Leila of Keaton Beach, FL, Brenda Terrell, Randy Bennett, and Roger Walker with wife Sue, all of Nashville, GA.
