MOULTRIE – Gregory “Greg” Kenneth Parker, 63, of Moultrie passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Reverend Brian Blackburn officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends after the service concludes.
Born July 22, 1961, in Moultrie, he was the son of Kenneth L. Parker and the late Mary Jane Faircloth Parker. Mr. Parker was a skilled tradesman who could build or repair almost anything. He was also a talented musician and artist who enjoyed playing his guitar with his friends on Wednesday nights. Mr. Parker was a determined and tenacious man who was driven to excel at whatever task he chose to complete. Although driven, he had a kind compassionate soul that loved his Lord Jesus and others. Mr. Parker will always be remembered for his strong faith in God and his commitment to his family. He was a member of the Baptist faith and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Sue Parker Johnson; uncle, Phil Parker, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Marvin W. Parker and Pansy Love Parker; and maternal grandparents, William Faircloth and Elnyr Faircloth.
Survivors include his father, Kenneth L. Parker and wife Judy; sisters, Kerry Lyn Parker, and Kristina Parker and husband Wally Lurz; beloved aunt and bonus mother, Frances Parker Suber; uncles, Michael Johnson, Robbie Faircloth; aunts, Melicent Gay, Antoinette Weilnau; close family members, Andrea Swilley, Phil Parker, Jr., and Terry Parker Wilkerson; along with other extended family members and friends.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
