MOULTRIE, GA- Gregory Randall “Ron” Bennett, 75, of Moultrie, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Wiley Raymond Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be David McGlamry, Kane Young, Ethan Pickel, Shaun DeBruce, Keith Jones, and Timmy Jones.
Born November 11, 1948, in Jacksonville, Florida, he was the son of Irene Wilder Craven. Mr. Ron was a former radio disc jockey for WMTM and a member of Lifespring Community Church. He loved the Lord, his family especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Ron was a humble, caring, strong work ethic man who would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed being outside and driving his truck and seeing the sites. Mr. Ron would often talk about his time as a DJ and playing music for people and his career as a truck driver making deliveries to ensure others had the things they needed.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margie Ann Jones Bennett and son, Gregory Randall “Randy” Bennett, II.
Survivors include his daughter, Angela Ruth Bennett; grandchildren, Hunter DeBruce and husband Shaun, Charlie Young and husband Kane, Laiken Nolen and Ethan Pickel, Tiffany Bennett and Brayan Castro, Jonathan “Jay” Bennett, Carlie Nolan, Isabella Kelley; great-grandchildren, Marleigh DeBruce, Raleigh DeBruce, Eli Young, Kennedy Young, Aaliyah Castro; siblings, Ray Bennett, Barbara Durfee and husband Tony, Pamela Adams and husband Craig, Ed Wilder and wife Lisa; several extended family members and friends.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
