Harold Dean Allegood

Harold Dean Allegood, 88, of Hartsfield, died Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at his home.

          Graveside rites will be held 11:00AM Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Oak Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Stanley Norman officiating.  Friends are welcome to attend but social distancing will be required.

          Born March 16, 1932 in Colquitt County Ga, he was the son of the late Arthur Richard Allegood and Lula Mae Morris Allegood.  Mr. Allegood was a United States Army Veteran.   He loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed talking with friends.  Mr. Allegood enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and attending to his cattle.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Verenice “Penny” Bryant Allegood; daughter, Debbie Sue Allegood; sister, Joyce Vest.

          Survivors include his children, John Richard Allegood and wife Candi of Moultrie, Sandra Clayton and husband Roger of Hartsfield; grandchildren, Robbie Clayton and wife Jaimee, Eric Clayton and special friend Tiffany Gray, Kristen Kiser and husband Carlton, Courtney Loftis and husband Chris; a niece who is recognized as a grandchild, Addie Bryant Gay; great-grandchildren, Ethan Allegood, Brantley Loftis, John Maddox Loftis, Lucas Clayton, Jaye Clayton, Haley Kiser, Kati Kiser and Zach Kiser; brother Richard Dennis Alligood of Moultrie; several nieces and nephews and other family members.
