Hazel Virginia Lasseter Truluck

January 20, 1934 — December 28, 2022

MOULTRIE, GA – Hazel Virginia Lasseter Truluck, 88, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 30, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating and the Reverend Charles Lasseter, Jr.  Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will greet friends from 10:30-11:00AM Friday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Joseph Truluck, Heath Smith, Shane Holbrooks, Duain Lasseter, Tyler Hart and Kendal Harris.

Born January 20, 1934, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Love Lasseter and Clara Mae Faison Lasseter.  Mrs. Truluck was the administrative assistant for Mayor Willie B. Weathers in 1950’s.   She retired from the Colquitt County School System as a bus driver, and a cafeteria attendant.  She was a wonderful, caring woman who loved to help other and enjoyed volunteering as a Brownie Troop Leader, Girl Scout Leader, and a Sunday School teacher.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. “Buddy” Truluck; sister, Helen Grace Lewis.

Survivors include her children, Donna Eastman and husband Stan of Lawrenceville, GA, Terry Wetherington and husband Quinn, Tamara “Marty” Gay Faircloth and husband Freddie, Frank Dixon and wife Sharon all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Joseph Truluck, January Smith, Heath Smith, Logan Faircloth, Emily Holbrooks, Hannah Hart, Matt Wetherington, Kaye Lesczynski, Michael Eastman; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Liam Fletcher, Wendy Truluck, Mayu Eastman, Tinley Holbrooks, Annistyn Kay Hart, Oliver “Ollie” Heath Smith, Ava Hazel Wetherington; siblings, Alice Faye Chitty of Funston, Mary Carpenter of Orlando, FL, Charles Lasseter, Jr. and wife Linda of Norman Park, GA, Fred Lasseter, Sr. and wife Linda of Thomasville, GA; numerous extended family members and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Colquitt Regional Hospice, PO Box 3548, Moultrie, GA 31776.
