Homer Howard McMullen, 85, of Pavo, died Monday, November 9, 2020 at his home.
Graveside rites will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Olen Cain officiating.
The family will greet friends in the church social hall immediately following the service.
Born March 2, 1935 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Howard McMullen and Agnes Merritt McMullen. He was a retired truck driver with Flowers Baking Company and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mr. McMullen served in the United States Army and the National Guard and was an Emeritus member of Thomasville Masonic Lodge # 369. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bluegrass music.
He was preceded in death by a grand- daughter, Kim King and one sister, Margie Slater.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Shirley Jean Giles McMullen of Pavo; four children, Kelvin McMullen and wife Ann and Keith McMullen and wife Kathy, all of Pavo, Ken McMullen of Tallahassee and Kelly McMullen of Thomasville; seven grandchildren, Rick McMullen, Chad Richter and wife Kathryn, Michael Richter and wife Missy, Robbie McMullen and wife Cassidy, Brian Miller and wife Amber, Kameron McMullen and Kathryn and Lauren McMullen; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelola Sanders of Thomasville and Pat Clark of Moultrie; one brother, Ronald McMullen and wife Mary of Moultrie.
