SYLVESTER, GA – Huey Kenneth Johnson, 86, of Sylvester, formerly of Moultrie, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 12, 2024, at Riverside Holiness Church with the Brother Mark Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM Friday at Riverside Holiness Church.
Born February 6, 1938, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was son of the late Ross Johnson and Ethel Lee Turner Johnson. Mr. Huey was a farmer and a member of Riverside Holiness Church. He was a honest, caring and wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother who cherished his family. Mr. Huey was a proud South Georgia farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Geneva Brown, Calvin Johnson, Tommy Johnson, William Johnson, Curtis Johnson, Eugene Johnson, and Medford Johnson.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Sara Nell Miller Johnson; children, Keith Johnson, Kevin Johnson and wife Janie, Kenny Johnson and wife Ruthie, Tammy Carver and husband Max, Kyle Johnson and wife Shondia; bonus children, David Rouse and wife Darlene, Mike Rouse and wife Terri, Allen Rouse and wife Michelle, Wendy Peters and husband Jeff; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Felton Johnson and wife Lafaye, Richard Johnson; several extended family members and friends.
