India Ruth Greene Billings

MOULTRIE, GA- India Ruth Greene Billings, 84, of Moultrie, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023, surrounded by her family and special caregiver Eve Daniels.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 12, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born July 4, 1938, in Columbus, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Woodrow Greene and Ruth Antley Greene. Mrs. Billings loved her family and enjoyed being around people.  She was especially fond of animals. Early in life she was a ballerina. She played the flute in the Jordan High School Marching Band which was Nationally recognized under the direction of Mr. Bob Barr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Ben Frank Billings, III.

Survivors include her sons, Ben E. Billings and Linda of Columbus, Robin Billings and Donna of Moultrie, Tracy Billings and Kathleen of Desoto, Texas, John Billings and Tina of Moultrie, Jason Billings and Tonya of Atlanta; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Lonnie and Brenda Greene of Rockmart; sister, Patsy Williams of Columbus.
