Born and raised with a love for the land, Jack was a lifelong farmer. His days were marked by honesty, dedication, and a deep respect for nature. Even after retiring from farming, his passion for the land never waned. Whether he was mowing, planting seasonal gardens, or filling his yard with vibrant plants of every color, his hands were always busy nurturing the world around him.

One of his greatest joys was tending to his beloved pecan trees, never missing a season of harvest. He also enjoyed bird hunting, arrowhead hunting, and fishing, traditions he proudly saw his great-grandchildren begin to embrace, bringing him immense joy in his later years as he watched them create their own memories on the land he loved so dearly. A proud member of New Bethel Baptist Church for 78 years, Jack served his church family with unwavering devotion. He spent many years teaching Sunday School, serving as a deacon, and singing faithfully in the church choir. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and inspiring those around him.

Perhaps what Jack will be remembered for most is the deep and abiding love he shared with his adoring wife of 69 years, Claudie Mae. Together, they built a beautiful family, rooted in love, faith, and strong values that endure in the hearts and lives of their descendants. Rarely seen apart, their bond was a beautiful testament to a life well-lived together, finding joy in the simplest of moments.

Jack’s legacy of faith, love, and hard work will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
