MOULTRIE, GA – Jack Willis, 82, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 6, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Jimmy Voyles officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1-1:45PM Monday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be Brett Gay, David Hancock, Wayne Willis, Justin McCranie, Garrett McCranie and Marcus Turner.
Born December 13, 1940, he was the son of the late John Hampton Willis and Ora Weaver Willis. Mr. Jack was a United States Army Veteran and worked Swift and Company as a butcher. He loved his family dearly and was a wonderful husband. Mr. Jack was the owner/operator of Playrite, where he made wooden toys. In his spare time, he would go fishing, camping, and enjoyed traveling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Hampton Willis, Jr.; sister, Betty Jean Snyder.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Joshetta Everett Willis of Moultrie; siblings, Shirley Gay and husband Billy of Moultrie, Jeanette Dochterman of Acworth, GA, Johnnie Maude Summerour of Moultrie; sister-in-law, Alice Willis of Bainbridge; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph McCranie and wife Pam of Alachua, FL; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
