Jackie Eugene Jenkins, Sr.

Jackie Eugene Jenkins, Sr., 71, of Moultrie, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Charles House officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 PM Thursday at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Casketbearers will be Ricky Yates, Marcus Ponder, Dexter Polite, Jr., Dakota Baker, Key Singletary, and Dustin Phillips. Honorary casketbearers will be his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Born December 25, 1949, in Bartow, County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Eugene Jenkins and Cora Ellen Wiley Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins retired from the United States Navy as a E-5 and was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family and was a wonderful loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Jenkins was a jokester and was always teasing his children and grandchildren trying to make them laugh. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Phillips Jenkins of Moultrie; children, Jackie Eugene Jenkins, Jr. and wife Sharon of Savannah, Kristie Jenkins Castleberry and husband Lucky of Moultrie; grandchildren, Austin Castleberry and fiancé Samantha, Justin Jenkins, Mikah Jenkins, Jeremy Allen and wife Jessica, Aaron Castleberry; brother, Randy Jenkins and wife Patricia of Moultrie.
