James Raborn “Buck” Hill, 79, formerly of Moultrie, GA, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Lakeland Regional Hospital.
A private family service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Born December 26, 1941, in Moultrie, GA, he was the son of the late James Weldon Hill and Annie Catherine Wilkes Hill. Buck was a charming individual who was loved by all who knew him. Art, music, and interior design were talents that he possessed and shared generously. He enjoyed his time singing in the Psalmsmen quartet as he ministered through his gift of music. He loved his Lord and served him whole-heartedly. His family was precious to him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, George Silas “Si” Hill, Jr.
Survivors include his brothers, William David “Bill” Hill and wife Joann, David James Hill, George Silas Hill, Sr., all of Moutrie; sister, Mary Hill Smith of Lakeland, FL; nieces, Angie Brooks and husband Bobby, Jill Smith, Kim Greene and husband Rev. Matt, Shanna Simmons and husband Trev, Lora Boatwright and husband Michael, Georgette Hood and husband Luke; and a number of special great nieces and nephews.
Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Colquitt County Arts Center, 401 7th Avenue S.W., Moultrie, GA 31768 or Kingwood Baptist Church, 301 North Veterans Parkway, Moultrie, GA, 31788 in lieu of flowers.
